Nothingness

The truth that is there
That stinks and that rakes
Is nothingness all over
Beneath stories that you bake

What you wish you can make
Out of this nothing
You can dream and fake
But it won’t mean a thing

Lies and lies, layers of ‘em
Glossy dust to cover
The naked truth and pain
Garlanded and buried forever

The dust will but dust off
The lust of lies forsaken
And truth shall hold aloft
Naked, pure, pristine: nothing!
