Inspiration anyone?

OK, I am just writing this post so that I know that I can still write! That I can still form coherent sentences by putting together distinct words. So you, dear reader, must be thinking , that I am insanely desperate to simply write anything, right? Well, the answer is a resounding yes!

I haven't written anything for so long, that its almost itching now, you can call it a writer's prurience :P So, the question I am asking myself is: Is it just a lack of ideas or a severe shortage of creative skill? Or has the well just run dry?

 Ok, how about testing myself with a bit of  poetry?

As the days come and go, and I while away;
waiting for another inspiration, a brilliant ray
every other morning, seems like a past day
Withered leaf, rusted iron, dry broken clay?

Hmm, maybe I can still write, a lot more reading and a bit more practice can perhaps rescue my sinking ship of creativity! Adios, hope to see you soon :)

Marine Musings- A short story

pic from photography.about.com Sitting on the paved fence at marine drive promenade, looking at the waves striking the rocks and bouncing off, I wondered if there is any meaning to all this, to the unending water, to the blending of the sky into the sea, to the rocks which protect the city and wear themselves apart and to me sitting here, watching all this, when I should actually be back home. It was not for the first time that I was wondering about the underlying meaning and purpose behind all things that people generally are too busy to think about. Maybe, I am too lazy to be busy doing things that everyone does or maybe I am just a fool dabbling in mindless exercises. leaf and life!

the dried leaf when it falls, in the autumn, on the rocks, it flies and dances in the mid-air it looks around and settles far or near... the winds it may take it away a thousand moves, the leaf will display not for a moment will it regret the past life, on the old tree,by the rivulet.. the water there made a sweet music and the drops tingled him in his sleep he,sure, will remember the beautiful past but he will make memories new,and those too will last!
